Bohol is rapidly emerging as one of the prime tourist destinations in the Philippines, due to a wealth of natural attractions, combined with well-preserved landmarks of a rich and colorful past. The island first captured attention as the site of the famous Chocolate Hills, but is now recognized for its superb beaches, dive spots and historical sites. |

Panglao Island is somewhat out on a limb and so tends to be visited by travelers + tourists. For divers in the know, Balicasag and Cabilao Islands have some of the best diving in the Philippines, comparable to that off Sipadan Island in Malaysian Borneo though on a smaller scale.
Located off the southwestern tip of Bohol, Panglao is a small coralline limestone island joined to the mainland near Tagbilaran by a causeway with connecting ridges. The island known for its quite beach resorts. The best beach is the white-sand Alona Beach, a quiet friendly place which the locals and the resorts wish to keep that way. There are also Restaurants, Bars and Diveshops, who everybody can find what they want. On this beach you can find Alonaland, which is 100m away from the beach.
Panglao vor der Südwestspitze von Bohol ist eine kleine Korralleninsel, die bei Tagbilaran mit dem Festland verbunden ist. Die Insel ist berühmt fuer ihre ruhigen Strandorte. Den besten weissen Strand hat Alona Beach, ein ruhiger, netter Ort, den Einheimische und Resorts so lassen wollen. Da gibt es auch einige Restaurants, Bars und Tauchbasen, die für jedermann das gewünschte bieten. An diesem Beach befindet sich das Alonaland Resort, welches etwa 100m vom Strand entfernt ist.
